Director, Strategic Planning

Leading Independent Ad Agency seeks Director of Strategic Planning to lead the account planning function and high profile, national consumer brands.  This agency leader will identify key consumer insights to bring to creative development to life, work hand in hand with market research, data and analytics teams, and serve as a member of agency senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the client and agency teams to develop strategies that solve client marketing challenges and achieve client business goals

Required Skills

  • Ability to think strategically (not just tactically)
  • Experience using media-based insight tools (MRI/Simmons, eMarketer, AdViews/AdRelevance, Comscore, Interpret - New Media Measure)
  • Excellent verbal presentation/storytelling skills, and superior writing skills

  • Ability to work independently on a project or in a team environment
Minimum Required Experience

DIRECTOR OF INTEGRATED MEDIA AND SEARCH

Jacksonville-based fully integrated marketing agency seeks a Director of Integrated Media and Search.  This person would be responsible for ideation, plan development, execution and optimization of paid, owned and earned media strategy and be able to combine working knowledge of digital, email, search and more traditional retail media channels.

DUTIES

-  Work with planning supervisors, digital and social strategists to define all client media opportunities and map how multi-channel efforts optimally support a common objective
-  Recommend media /engagement strategy, cadence and budget levels by channel for all client initiatives
-  Supervise execution of paid media for all client initiatives
-  Provide relevant communications  strategy and tactical input as part of new business initiatives

SKILL SET

-  Proven experience  working in direct/addressable channels such as online, email, search etc.
-  Capable of communicating  advanced media principles, theories and concepts

-  Effective presentation skills
-  Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, management and organizational skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

-  Serve as a senior member of the agency's integrated marketing services team
-  Identify and lead all client opportunities and ensure integration throughout all internal agency divisions
-  Lead account service initiatives, activation strategy and service integration for assigned accounts
-  Participate in marketing strategy planning and positioning and brand strategy with agency and client senior strategy leaders

QUALIFICATIONS

-  5 plus years experience, ideally on the agency side
-  Integrated marketing experience including branding, strategic planning, marketing strategy, digital marketing, social media, advertising, media, public relations, direct mail, trade shows and content marketing
-  Capability to lead, present and sell effectively, build rapport among clients
-  Strong management experience including team, budget, client relationship and marketing program management
-  Excellent writing, oral and interpersonal skills
-  Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field, MBA preferred
